FPSC and Faisalabad

Letter May 22, 2026
FPSC and Faisalabad

KARACHI:

Faisalabad Division, which includes Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Chiniot, has a population exceeding 16 million, but there is no FPSC examination for general recruitment examinations. As a result, candidates are forced to travel to Lahore, Sargodha or Multan merely to appear in tests. This creates severe socioeconomic disparity among aspirants, particularly those from rural and low-income families who struggle with travel expenses, accommodation costs, transport uncertainty, exhaustion and mental stress. Female candidates and differently-abled applicants face even greater hardship. Many deserving students miss opportunities solely because of financial limitations. Keeping these difficulties in view, it is respectfully requested that the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman FPSC take steps to establish a permanent examination centre in Faisalabad Division.
