KARACHI:
The Patwari examinations, which commenced on May 1, are currently ongoing in Quetta. However, it has become extremely difficult for students of Kech district to attend the exam due to road blockages in Hirronk region.
The blockage of the road has posed numerous difficulties for the students who are travelling from far-off areas, including added travel time, extra fares and hardships in time management. It is unfair to expect them to attend the exam without any accommodations made for their travel due to this unprecedented situation.
This incident has again shown that students belonging to far off regions always have to face increased problems. They find it difficult to compete with other students because of various issues like road conditions, lack of facilities and inaccessible infrastructure in their area. Educational opportunities must be available for everyone irrespective of their location.
I request the concerned authorities to be aware of and accommodate any unjust challenges that out-of-station students might face, and in the future, open a BPSC examination centre in Kech district for the convenience of all candidates.
