KARACHI:
Cancer is a life-threatening disease, and its effective management requires timely diagnosis, proper treatment and continuous support for patients. Unfortunately, many patients face serious challenges such as lack of advanced medical facilities, high treatment costs and limited access to specialised doctors, especially in remote areas. Delays in diagnosis often worsen the condition, reducing the chances of survival.
Moreover, cancer not only affects patients physically but also places a heavy emotional and financial burden on families. There is a strong need for affordable treatment options, awareness campaigns and early screening programmes to detect cancer at an initial stage.
The government and health authorities must take immediate steps to improve healthcare infrastructure, provide financial assistance and ensure the availability of modern treatment facilities in all regions. Public awareness about prevention and early symptoms is equally important.
The authorities concerned should prioritise cancer care management so that patients can receive the care and dignity they deserve.
