KARACHI:
Being a student, I am appalled to see the biased approach of my government, which sends these so-called board inspection teams to catch cheating during exams but never seems to send education inspectors to visit classrooms during the year to see whether teachers are present and if effective teaching is taking place or not.
Many teachers often spend their time socialising or on their phones, avoiding their teaching responsibilities and causing students to lose motivation for their studies or to even show up. Examination inspection teams do not prove that you care about education; instead, taking steps to improve the education system does.
Moreover, examination inspectors tearing students’ papers, which they did in the Winder Centre, is not how these things should be dealt with. This shows that they are inconsiderate of what students go through by being targeted from both sides. I request the Balochistan Education Department to investigate this problem and understand its gravity.
