KARACHI:
The non-payment or delay of educational scholarships under Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has become a growing concern among students across the country. Many deserving students who depend on this financial assistance to continue their studies are facing serious financial pressure due to late disbursement of funds. The scholarship programme is meant to support low-income families and promote access to education, but administrative delays and inefficiencies are reducing its effectiveness. As a result, students are struggling to manage fees and academic expenses, which is negatively affecting their studies. There is an urgent need for authorities to improve the system and ensure timely payment so that the real purpose of this welfare initiative is fulfilled.
