KARACHI:
As recently experienced, Turbat lacks planning and management to prevent huge destruction due to rain. The unpredictable weather conditions and heavy rain have led to severe destruction across the city and people are facing power outages, sewage problems and potholes. However, the heavy rain has resulted in fertile land erosion, flooding and infrastructural damage. Due to the recent weather conditions and heavy rains, rivers like Kech Kor have flooded and water has entered populated areas and caused severe damage to people’s properties.
In addition, we can’t prevent the blessings that nature gives but we can take necessary measures to protect ourselves from these disasters. I request the government to initiate such a management and administrative process or system across the city to prevent destruction from such disasters.
