Gas supply problem

Letter March 26, 2026
Gas supply problem

The holy month of Ramzan has passed, and even Eid has come and gone, yet my gas supply issue remains unresolved. Despite repeated complaints, visits, and escalations to multiple authorities, this basic problem has not been fixed.
The core issue — water in the gas pipeline — still persists. SSGC teams have visited multiple times, carried out temporary measures, and left without providing any permanent solution. This clearly reflects serious incompetence and negligence on the part of the concerned department.

It is extremely alarming and shameful that in a major city like Karachi, such a small and solvable issue could not be resolved even after several months. This situation raises a very serious question: if such a basic issue cannot be resolved despite complaints to top authorities, then where should a common citizen go? Who is responsible, and who will be held accountable?

As a law-abiding citizens who has followed every official procedure, yet left completely unheard, I request: immediate resolution of the gas supply issue; permanent repair of the pipeline instead of temporary visits; accountability of the officials responsible for this prolonged negligence; and immediate halt and correction of unjust billing.

This is not just a complaint, but a matter of public trust, administrative responsibility and basic human dignity. I request all concerned quarters to take this matter seriously and ensure immediate action, so that citizens are not forced to lose faith in public institutions.
