Turbat, a city that is already considered underdeveloped in many aspects, is facing serious challenges in the field of education — especially technical and vocational training which is essential for the progress of any nation.
In our city, there is an institution called the Technical Training Centre. Although the building exists and the department is officially established, it is not functioning properly. There is no effective system of education, and the centre appears active only in name.
Several serious issues have been observed. Students are not receiving proper training and, in some cases, certificates are reportedly issued without merit. There is little to no supervision from the concerned authorities. Staff members are often absent from their duties, and the stipends meant for students are allegedly not reaching them.
This institution has the potential to play a vital role in developing skills among the youth of the area. If managed properly, it could help young people become self-reliant and contribute positively to society and the economy.
I respectfully request the district administration and the Government of Balochistan to take immediate action to make this department fully functional. Proper monitoring, accountability and sincere management are urgently needed so that this centre can truly serve its purpose and help produce skilled individuals who can stand on their own feet.
