NADRA and Balochistan

Letter March 16, 2026
NADRA and Balochistan

It is distressing to note that services offered by NADRA, the National Database and Registration Authority, in Balochistan are well below par when compared with those available in other parts of the country. The use of advanced systems in NADRA offices will make it easier for people to obtain identity cards and other important documents without unnecessary difficulties and waste of time.

Ensuring equal access to public services can help integrate less developed regions into the country’s socio-economic framework.

It is high time that the people of Balochistan, especially those living in remote areas, received the same modern services as in other cities, and NADRA must lead this change immediately. The government should prioritise these steps to empower the people of Balochistan and bridge the gap between remote and urban areas.
