Lack of healthcare facilities in Balnigwar, a sub-tehsil of Dasht in Turbat District of Balochistan, is a serious issue that demands immediate attention. There is no proper hospital in the entire area. As a result, people are compelled to rely on traditional remedies or travel long distances for even basic medical treatment. It goes without saying that delayed medical treatment leads to worsening health conditions, increased financial burden and, in some cases, preventable loss of lives. Poor healthcare also affects children, women and elderly citizens the most.
The government must take urgent steps to establish a well-equipped healthcare center in Balnigwar with qualified medical staff and radiology and ambulance facilities available round the clock. Additionally, awareness programmes regarding health, hygiene and preventive care should be conducted for the general public. It is hoped that the voice of the residents of Balnigwar will resonate in the power corridors and urgent action will be taken.
