Pakistan enters 2026 with a flood of unresolved issues, including economic downfall, climate change, a governance crisis and terrorism threats. These unprecedented problems have plagued the country for decades and remain unresolved.
On the other hand, in 2025 Pakistan experienced military tussles with its neighbouring countries, India and Afghanistan, which further created regional instability and damaged peace and harmony. Will Pakistan be free from these crises in 2026? How long will it continue fighting these challenges?
Moreover, Pakistan has become utterly depended on foreign aid packages and bailouts which has not allowed the country to shift onto sustainable path of development. Currently the country has high import and very low export which consequently created trade deficit.
Therefore, it is imperative for the incumbent government to resolve its internal issues while ensuring effective border security and regional stability.
