Open drains

Letter February 09, 2026
Open drains

Singanisar in Turbat is unfortunately suffering from many civic problems and the most serious one is open drains. There are multiple uncovered drains on roads which is a major public health and safety hazard. Worshippers while going to mosques find it difficult to pass through the streets due to the foul smell and dirty water, as well as students. Moreover, passing vehicles face serious problems as the roads are damaged and accidents often occur because of these open drains. These drains are also cause for mosquito breeding and the spread of various diseases.

The overall environment has become unhygienic, and the residents are living in constant discomfort. I humbly request the concerned authorities to take immediate action to cover the drains and improve the drainage system in Singanisar. This will help improve public health and make life easier for the residents.
