Turbat’s main bazaar faces a grave and persistent issue with regards to illegal encroachment of footpaths by shopkeepers. Many shopkeepers have extended their stalls onto the sidewalks, while illegal parking has occupied whatever space remains.
As a result, pedestrians, including women and children, are forced to walk on the main road, which is extremely dangerous due to heavy traffic. This unchecked encroachment not only endangers public safety but also contributes to daily traffic congestion, disrupting business activity and causing unnecessary delays.
The absence of proper enforcement has allowed the problem to worsen over time. Therefore, I request the Municipal Corporation to launch a cleanup operation and ensure that footpaths are kept clear for public use.
