Urban order and public safety are impossible without proper planning, yet the city of Turbat continues to suffer from a severe lack of designated parking facilities. This long-standing issue has made daily commuting increasingly difficult and unsafe for residents, visitors and commuters alike.
Due to the absence of proper parking lots, vehicles are routinely parked on busy roads, footpaths and other unauthorised areas. This has led to persistent traffic congestion, frequent road accidents and serious inconvenience for pedestrians. In several instances, unregulated parking has also obstructed the movement of emergency services, posing a direct threat to public safety.
The situation highlights a troubling failure in urban planning and traffic management. Despite repeated complaints from citizens, the problem remains largely unaddressed. Immediate and effective action is urgently needed. The authorities must prioritise the construction of well-planned parking lots, enforce strict regulations against illegal street parking, ensure proper maintenance and monitoring of facilities and hold responsible officials accountable for negligence in city planning. It is imperative that they recognise the seriousness of this issue and act without further delay to provide safe, organised and adequate parking facilities for the city.
