Rural areas make up a large part of the world’s population, yet they lack basic healthcare facilities. One of the most serious problems faced by rural communities is the absence of proper hospitals and qualified doctors. Due to this, people are unable to receive timely medical treatment, which leads to the spread of diseases and, in many cases, loss of lives. Rural dwellers are generally poor and cannot afford to travel to cities for medical care.
The lack of hospitals also affects people’s daily lives. When people are sick, they cannot work and make a living, which add to financial suffering. If proper hospitals with modern facilities are established in rural areas, people will live healthier and safer lives. It’s no exaggeration that it will boost their energy and will to work, and the rural communities will become stronger and more stable.
The Government of Pakistan should take immediate steps to ensure proper medical facilities in rural areas for the welfare of the people.
