This generation is one of the most powerful generations. It enjoys the right to speak out, use social media and can be in touch with individuals in any part of the globe in a few seconds. Previous generations have never been as equipped with the tools to learn, grow and impact the world as this one.
However, with such blessings, a greater part of the power is not being utilised well. While social media can be turned into a source of education, awareness and economic development, it can also be narrowed down to brief TikTok and Instagram clips. Even the groundbreaking invention of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is primarily being applied to accomplish assignments rather than for building skills or ideas.
If this generations utilises the tools at its disposal, the outcomes may be remarkable. It would make an impact on gender inequality, global economics would improve as a result of better innovations and countries would increasingly garner soft power, and export ideas and culture rather than labour.
This generation is not limited by any means to connect or explore the world and make significant changes. It is not a lack of opportunity but a lack of direction. These superpowers can redefine societies instead of distracting them with the right orientation, realisation and responsibility.
