Carcasses on roads

Letter December 27, 2025
Carcasses on roads

A growing problem in our society is the dumping of dead animals on public roads. This is a very dangerous and unhealthy practice. Dead animals left on roads cause severe environmental pollution and spread dangerous diseases. The foul smell spreads through the air, which badly affects human health. Such pollution can lead to infections and other serious illnesses, especially for children and elderly people.

Moreover, due to the negligence of careless drivers, animals are hit by vehicles, and their bodies remain on the roads. This creates serious risks for both humans and animals. Unfortunately, some people also deliberately throw dead animal bodies on roads, which further worsens the situation.

This issue is dangerous for public health and safety and must not be ignored. I strongly request the Government of Pakistan and local authorities to take immediate action, ensure proper disposal of dead animals and enforce strict rules to prevent this harmful practice.
