A good complaint system is the backbone of any responsible government or organisation, allowing people to report problems and expect solutions. However, in many areas, this system is weak or broken, causing frustration among citizens.
People face issues like no electricity, dirty water, broken roads, poor hospital services or problems in schools, and their complaints often fall on deaf ears. Lack of accountability and follow-up are major culprits, with some complaints being marked as solved even though nothing is done.
To improve this, clear systems are needed. Every complaint should get a proper reply and follow-up. Offices must keep records, track progress and ensure issues are truly resolved. Officers should be trained to handle complaints politely and quickly. A working complaint system shows that the government cares for its people, builds trust and improves services. Everyone deserves to be heard and helped. It’s time to fix the system and make complaints count.
