Natural gas and villages

Letter December 18, 2025
Natural gas and villages

The continued shortage of gas in villages of Balochistan has long been an unresolved issue. In many areas, people still rely on wood and coal for cooking. This is neither safe nor healthy, especially for women and elderly people.
Gas is essential for cooking and daily use. Without it, people in villages have to spend hours and hours collecting firewood, which wastes their time and energy. The smoke from burning wood also causes health problems, particularly among children and women.

If natural gas is provided in villages, life will become much easier. Cooking will be faster, safer and cleaner. Women will have more time to care for their families, and children will grow up in a healthier environment. The government is requested to take steps to ensure gas supply to villages in Balochistan. This small step can bring a big change in the lives of many poor families.
