Tump schools

Letter December 17, 2025
Tump schools

The condition of schools in Tump village of Turbat town is nothing much to write home about. Like so many other parts of Balochistan province, the schools in Tump terribly lack basic facilities like water, electricity and furniture — let alone trained teachers and other staff. This makes it very hard for students to attain education. Students are only taught in Urdu as there are no qualified teachers to teach in English. This puts the students in Tump at a disadvantage when compared with their peers in other parts of the province and the country.

With such being the situation regarding studies, it’s better not to talk of sports activities and other co-curricular events for students to enjoy and develop their skills. As a result of all this, students in Tump, in general, have lost interest in studies. I request the Chief Minister of Balochistan as well as the provincial ministry of education to take immediate steps to focus on the standard of education at Tump schools, thereby helping students in their educational pursuits.
