The EV stop at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad needs urgent attention. This bus stop is an important point for many EV bus routes, yet it has no proper seating or shelter for passengers or staff. The old stop is still being used, but it is dirty and has garbage scattered all around.
Filthy water remains on the ground throughout the year, even when there is no rain, which makes it difficult for people to board and get off the buses. Patients and elderly suffer the most because the area is slippery and unhygienic. Drivers and fare collectors also have no place to rest.
The authorities should clean the area, fix the drainage in the surroundings and provide necessary facilities so that the EV bus service at PIMS can work in a safe and organised way.
