Gwadar, despite being an important part of Balochistan, continues to face a severe water crisis. Many areas are struggling with acute water scarcity, affecting public routine. The lack of access to clean water is compromising public health, particularly for children and the elderly.
The current water supply system is inadequate, leading to reliance on water tankers, which are often scarce and expensive. This situation is unacceptable, and urgent action is needed. The government must prioritise Gwadar’s water needs, investing in infrastructure, including new water tanks, storage facilities and pipeline repairs.
Every citizen of Gwadar deserves access to clean, safe water. It’s time for collective action to address this crisis and ensure a healthy, prosperous future for the district.
