The quality of our environment is deteriorating at an alarming pace, and immediate action is required to curb the harmful effects of pollution. Our air is becoming increasingly toxic due to vehicle emissions and industrial activities, which contribute to respiratory diseases and other serious health problems among residents.
The situation is further worsened by improper waste disposal and weak waste management systems. Garbage piled on roads creates foul odors and contaminates water bodies. The lack of recycling and organised collection practices ultimately burdens the public and harms the ecosystem.
