Educational crisis in Awaran

Letter November 13, 2025
Educational crisis in Awaran

The lack of adequate educational institutions in the Awaran district of Balochistan is a serious issue. Despite the growing population, there are a very few schools in Awaran, while there is not a single university in the entire district. As a result, students are forced to travel long distances to attend school, while a lot of them fail to continue their studies due to poor facilities and financial hardships.

This shortage of educational opportunities is badly affecting the youth of Awaran. Without proper schools and colleges, students are being left behind, and the district remains underdeveloped. A region cannot progress without educated and skilled youth, but in Awaran, the lack of facilities continues to block the path to growth.

The concerned authorities must take immediate steps to establish more schools, hire qualified teachers and ensure proper infrastructure. Education is the foundation of progress. Awaran’s students deserve the same opportunities as others across the country.
