Gresha High School

Letter November 12, 2025
Gresha High School

The Government High School Sarij Gresha is facing serious challenges badly affecting students’ education. Most teachers in this school, like so many others in Balochistan, remain mostly absent. Some subjects, such as Urdu and English, are taught only occasionally while important subjects like Mathematics and Science are completely neglected.

The school lacks basic facilities such as chairs, tables and textbooks. Many students are forced to sit on the floor, which makes learning uncomfortable and ineffective.

Many teachers treat their positions merely as jobs and remain absent for days. This negligence has made the future of the students studying in the Government High School Sarij Gresha uncertain. Most of the students come from poor families and cannot afford to attend private schools or travel to other cities for education. While a few well-off families may find alternatives, the majority continue to suffer silently. The authorities should take immediate action — appoint regular teachers, provide essential resources and ensure strict accountability. These students deserve education, not hardship.
