Pakistan needs a new and transparent political structure, a platform where honest, educated and patriotic individuals can come together to practically serve the nation. The world teaches us that everyone has their time; leaders come and go, and new people are given the opportunity to contribute to their country’s progress. Recently, the election of a young leader like Zohran Mamdani in New York serves as a living example of how new leadership can emerge when opportunities are created.
Similarly, Pakistan needs a systematic and merit-based structure, where people rise step by step from Union Councils to districts, tehsils, provinces and the federation through a fair electoral process. The foundation of this system must be transparency, merit and justice. There should be no room for favouritism, personal preferences or class discrimination. The rich, middle class and poor should all have equal opportunities to participate. Most importantly, every institution must function within its constitutional boundaries. No institution should interfere in another’s domain. Each must have a defined mechanism to ensure balance, stability and accountability within the system.
This is the same democratic principle followed by developed nations where institutions work independently and uphold the rule of law forming the true foundation of democracy.
