Peace between Israel and Palestine has once again collapsed into violence. Israeli forces have launched brutal assaults on Palestinian civilians, turning promises of peace into acts of aggression. This ongoing campaign reflects a deep disregard for human life, as civilians — especially women and children — continue to bear the heaviest toll.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed since 7 October. Since the start of the war, at least 66,000 people have lost their lives, half of them women and children. Thousands more have been injured, displaced or left to suffer amid widespread destruction and starvation.
For Palestinians, daily life has become synonymous with grief and survival. Entire families have been wiped out while homes and hospitals reduced to rubble. Despite the scale of the tragedy, international support remains limited. Without decisive humanitarian intervention, this devastation risks becoming a permanent, man-made catastrophe for generations to come.
The moral absence of the international community has made clear that silence has enabled this destruction. The people of Palestine deserve not just sympathy, but action — protection, aid and a path to peace rooted in justice and human dignity.
