The Awaran–Karachi road has been under construction for years, but work has long been at a standstill, leaving the people of Awaran in a dire situation. Without a proper road, residents are forced to travel across rough and dangerous terrain, leading to frequent accidents and making access to essential services such as healthcare, education and food supply. Authorities once promised completion, yet the project appears to have been forgotten.
I urge the provincial and federal governments to act now — allocate the necessary funds, appoint a dedicated project team and restart work on the Awaran–Karachi road without further delay. The people of Awaran have waited far too long; a functional road is the foundation of a better, more connected future for them and the entire region.
