The miserable and unhygienic condition of Chasar in Turbat town of Balochistan warrants immediate attention of the authorities. The area is a picture of complete neglect. The streets are broken and filled with filthy, stagnant water, making movement almost impossible. The drainage system has completely collapsed, and unbearable foul smells rise from open gutters, spreading infections and diseases.
Streetlights remain dysfunctional, turning the nights into zones of insecurity. Garbage heaps and stray animals are seen everywhere, creating serious health hazards.
Moreover, the sanitation staff rarely performs their duties, and there is no proper waste management system. The residents, especially children and the elderly, are suffering due to polluted air, mosquitoes and unhygienic conditions. This situation reflects the utter failure of municipal services and the indifference of the authorities.
The responsible quarters should take a prompt and strict action to ensure cleanliness, road repair and functional drainage systems. The citizens deserve a clean and healthy environment which is their basic civic right.
