We are constantly told not to litter, but has anyone noticed that there are almost no public dustbins in our localities? How can citizens keep streets clean when there is simply nowhere to throw waste? Even in busy markets, parks and bus-stops, people are forced to drop wrappers and bottles on the road. The result is visible everywhere: clogged drains, dirty footpaths and a polluted environment.
A cleaner Pakistan cannot be achieved through campaigns or hashtags; it requires something as basic as dustbins, placed regularly and maintained properly. If authorities truly care about hygiene and civic sense, they must provide this simple facility. A small step like installing dustbins could make a huge difference in building a cleaner and healthier society.
