There is a newly trending AI software known as Gemini. This AI is being increasingly used to transform pictures, edit two people sitting together or beautify one’s face. Many of these edited pictures then go viral online.

At first, the trend may have seemed fun and harmless, but in reality, it can have insurmountable negative consequences — especially for young users. The trend promotes unrealistic beauty standards, pressuring them to look a certain way. It also non-consensually places people in situations they were never in. Not only does this gravely injure someone’s right to privacy, but it also risks leaking personal data. Therefore, we must be cautious and avoid using such apps for our own wellbeing.
