Turbat sans electricity

Letter September 24, 2025
Turbat sans electricity

Turbat is one of the hottest cities in Pakistan, but sadly, most of the time its residents live without electricity. These days, power cuts last almost the whole day — sometimes 18 to 20 hours — making life extremely difficult for everyone.
When the temperature rises above 45°C, sitting in the heat without a fan or cold water feels unbearable. Students cannot study properly, shopkeepers lose their customers, and even hospitals struggle to treat patients when there is no light. It is not just about comfort — food rots, water supply stops and life feels stuck.

Every year, promises are made, but nothing really changes. People in Turbat feel ignored and left behind. Electricity is not a luxury; it is a basic need. If the system is improved and power is supplied properly, students will study better, businesses will grow and daily life will become easier.
