The increasing pollution in the streets and river areas of Turbat city has become a matter of serious concern. Garbage, plastic waste and sewage water can be seen scattered in many places, particularly near the river and residential streets.
This pollution not only spoils the beauty of the city but also poses grave health risks.
Dirty water and waste attract mosquitoes and flies, leading to the spread of diseases such as dengue, malaria and skin infections. It also makes it difficult for citizens, especially children, to walk safely or enjoy clean surroundings.
There is an urgent need for regular cleaning drives, the installation of more dustbins and a proper waste management system in the city. Public awareness campaigns should also be launched to educate people about the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The authorities are therefore urged to take immediate action to control pollution in Turbat and ensure a clean and healthy environment for all.
