Lack of facilities

Letter September 15, 2025
Lack of facilities

Jamak, a small village located in the east of Turbat city in Balochistan, is suffering from multiple problems including severe power shortages, lack of schools and hospitals as well as other basic facilities.

The people of Jamak work hard, mainly exporting crops to other areas to earn their living. Yet, their efforts are not enough to fulfil their basic needs due to the absence of government support. Children’s futures are at risk because of the shortage of qualified teachers in schools, leaving them deprived of quality education. Even more concerning is the lack of proper hospitals and doctors, which makes healthcare inaccessible and threatens the wellbeing of villagers.

These problems continue to hinder the growth and progress of the community. Therefore, I urge the government to take immediate steps to provide electricity, educational institutions and healthcare facilities in Jamak so that its residents can live a dignified and prosperous life.
