I wholeheartedly congratulate every MDCAT student on the postponement of their test. Previously it was announced that the test would be conducted on October 5, 2025. However, now it has been officially rescheduled by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for October 26, 2025. This happened as heavy rains across Pakistan caused widespread disruption, especially posing a massive challenge for MDCAT students.
Most of the students faced disruptions while preparing. Those who study in libraries were unable to do so, and much of their time was wasted. And others who studied at home faced frequent loadshedding. Fortunately, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal suggested that time lost during the floods and rains should now be compensated for students in a meaningful way. Hence, the decision was taken. At the end of the day, it is beneficial for all students. This way, they can prepare more efficiently and cover topics that they previously left.
One important point every MDCAT candidate must remember is to stay updated through official channels, as new decisions can be announced anytime. Do not rely on unofficial social media posts — always check the official website. Most importantly, take care of your health. Use these extra days wisely: strengthen the topics you’re already good at and work on the ones you find difficult. Good luck!
