Costly education

Costly education

Education is becoming increasingly costly, which is a major factor contributing to the country’s declining literacy rate. Private schools often demand exorbitant fees that many parents cannot afford. In most cases, their fee structures go against the rules set by the Private School Regulatory Authority (PSRA).

Such practices not only violate the law but also deprive poor families of their right to education, further hindering national prosperity. This growing inequality widens the gap between privileged and underprivileged children, ultimately weakening the foundations of society.

The concerned authorities must enforce strict laws and penalties for such violations. And at the same time, schools should design their fee structures according to the financial capacity of the people, ensuring education is accessible, fair and sustainable for everyone.
