Balochistan is Pakistan’s largest province, blessed with resources such as coal, oil, gas, gold, zinc and chromite. Despite this wealth, the province continues to face poor governance. Pakistan gains immense benefit from Balochistan — particularly through Gwadar port, a vital trade hub — yet the province itself remains neglected.
This is not a small issue; it is a serious problem that requires urgent attention. Other provinces, though not as resource-rich, are facilitated with their demands and enjoy social, economic and political rights.
Balochistan, however, is still deprived of these basic rights. I urge the government to take immediate and meaningful action to address this longstanding neglect and ensure that the people of Balochistan are granted their rightful political, social and economic rights.
