Turbat power woes

Turbat power woes

The citizens of Turban town of Kech district in Balochistan continue to suffer from prolonged and unannounced load-shedding, often stretching up to 18 to 20 hours a day. In this scorching heat, with temperatures soaring above 45°C, the lack of electricity has made daily life unbearable.

Students are unable to study, hospitals struggle to function and businesses are facing losses due to frequent power cuts. The situation has pushed many into mental and physical distress.

Despite promises from the government and local administration, the situation has remained as it is. The power infrastructure is outdated, and there seems to be little accountability of the electricity providers. The concerned ministry and QESCO must take immediate and practical steps to address this important matter.
