Education is the foundation of national progress. Without it, development remains a dream. Yet, in Balochistan, it remains undermined due to systemic flaws. There is an urgent need for merit-based recruitment in schools of Balochistan.
The recent allocation of teachers in government schools was driven by personal connections, nepotism and favouritism. The entire system deprived educated and talented students of their right to quality education, leaving them without guidance or opportunity. The government must ensure a transparent hiring through independent oversight, fair testing and public disclosure of results. Education should be treated as a responsibility to the people, not a political favour.
