Villages left behind

Villages left behind

Whenever I visit my village, it is disheartening to see young boys grazing goats, farming and toiling away at an age when they should be learning and exploring new things. But unfortunately, they lack access to fundamental rights including education. These children are eager to learn, but there is no one to teach them.

It is said that every citizen has the right to education regardless of their background. It is severely difficult to achieve upward mobility without it. In the urban cities of Pakistan, students use laptops, mobile phones and computers to study. Yet, the villages of Balochistan remain stuck. It is an unbearable situation.

The students are our future. If they are not educated, our own country will suffer. I urge the government of Pakistan to increase their efforts in educating children from rural areas and small villages. Because every child deserves the right to learn.
