Many remote villages in Balochistan are facing an extremely serious issue — girls are unable to access education. In several areas, there are no proper schools where girls can receive education while some villages don’t have a girls’ school at all.
Moreover, where schools do exist, they don’t come without problems. Most of them lack female teachers, the buildings are often damaged or unfit for use and there are barely any basic facilities. Many girls are eager to study and build a better future for themselves. But the functional schools are often too far away so the distance coupled with the lack of transportation makes parents hesitate in sending their daughters far away.
I sincerely request the government to take serious action to improve girls’ education in these areas. Our sisters and daughters deserve a brighter future.
