Substandard education

Substandard education

The state of education in Balochistan, particularly regarding Allama Iqbal Open University, is devastating. While the university’s main branch in Islamabad provides students with opportunities to learn and grow, the same cannot be said for its operations in Balochistan.

The lack of quality education and ineffective teaching methods have led to a situation where students are not encouraged to attend classes or participate in discussions. Instead, they are handed degrees without putting in necessary effort. This not only undermines the value of education but also hampers the intellectual growth of students.

Furthermore, the practice of charging exorbitant fees for papers and offering degrees to unqualified individuals is unacceptable. It is imperative that the government of Balochistan take immediate action to address these issues and ensure that students have access to quality education.

I urge the authorities to conduct regular classes, promote critical thinking and eliminate the commercialisation of education. It is essential to prioritise educational needs.
