Underdeveloped society

Letter July 12, 2025
Underdeveloped society

Jamak is a small village in the Kech district of Balochistan, and it severely lacks fundamental facilities for its residents. Where there is a hospital, it lacks doctors who are on duty. Where there is a school, it lacks teachers who are present. Often, residents have to travel long distances just to obtain water, and then they must carry heavy bottles all the way back.

The glaring unavailability of such essentials can devastate a society and the lives of its people.
I urge political leaders to strive to provide basic facilities like education, healthcare and access to clean water. The people of Jamak deserve better and it is the responsibility of local authorities to take care of their needs.
