We live in a time when wars, political conflicts and violence are rising in many parts of the world. Countries are fighting each other; innocent people are suffering, while powerful leaders are making decisions that add fuel to the fire. In such times, the world doesn’t need more war heroes. What we truly need are peace builders, leaders and citizens who believe in dialogue, respect and peaceful solutions.
Unfortunately, many world leaders today are choosing the path of aggression. They focus on showing military strength, using harsh language and supporting harmful policies. Some believe that showing power through weapons and threats makes a country strong. But true strength is not in destroying others, it is in helping, healing and solving problems without violence. While children lose their homes, families are broken and millions are forced to live as refugees, some leaders continue to support war strategies, claiming that they are necessary for peace. History has shown us that war rarely solves anything. It brings short-term victories for a few but long-term suffering for many. Peace builders, people who focus on unity, justice and human dignity, are the ones who bring real changes.
The Nobel Peace Prize reminds us that peace must be built through actions, not just words. It is a symbol of respect for those who work to bring nations together. It is mostly for people who promote dialogue, protect human rights and stop conflicts. It is not meant for those who support war or ignore the suffering of innocent people.
Pakistan also needs to think wisely. Our foreign policy must be based on peace, not policies. Every country, including ours, should play its part in building a peaceful future. Let us support leaders who believe in peace. Let us raise our children to be kind, thoughtful and fair, and let us all remember the world doesn’t need more war heroes; it needs peace builders.
