Smoking among minors

Smoking among minors

Nowadays, the sale of cigarettes to children has become a very common issue. Children are not fully aware of its dangers and shopkeepers benefit from this. On the other hand, parents fail to monitor their kids.

The sale of cigarettes to children under 18 is illegal in many countries. However, in our country, they are sold to everyone. Cigarettes badly damage the development of the mind and body, especially in young children. This destructive practice severely impairs their cognitive abilities, such as sharp thinking and sustained focus, and hinders their physical development, including active movement and quickness.

The police should warn shopkeepers against this practice and take strict action against any found offender. Moreover, parents should remain alert about their children’s habits so that this societal vice does not flourish.
