In Hub Chowki, Turbat, Bela and other big cities, people are facing numerous challenges because of unbearable temperatures. The severity of the heat is even claiming lives in these areas. Recently, a boy in Hub was saved from the brink of death due to the heatwave and its ensuing health problems.
The reason behind this issue is simple — climate change and global warming. Attempts are being made to curtail the impact of global warming, but the issue continues to grow. There are still small efforts that can be made, such as installing coolers in public places. Additionally, hospitals must remain alert in this hot weather. Many hospitals in rural areas are not operable while others have no electricity or generators available. Electricity, fans and cold water are essential for healthcare facilities during this time.
The government should take care of its roadside labourers, manual workers, factory employees and students who are most vulnerable to this crisis through basic amenities in every public organisation and institute.
