Saddar is one of the most historic and well-known areas in Karachi. It is bustling with numerous restaurants and a wide variety of businesses. Saddar offers almost everything that one might need. But despite being the heart of the city, it does not have a single public library.
A significant number of students, advocates, doctors, and other bachelors reside in Saddar. They used to visit Liaquat Memorial Library, which is located some distance away. But that library only has two or three halls, which are usually filled to capacity. As a result, many students are compelled to return home without studying due to the lack of seating and space.
The concerned authorities must pay attention to the needs of students and working professionals alike and establish a public library in Saddar. This would greatly benefit the local academic and professional community by providing a dedicated space for study and helping them save valuable time.
