A common issue which happens in almost every area of Pakistan, especially in Hub, is that milkmen mix water in milk, diluting it to increase its volume. Nowadays, almost every shopkeeper uses this trick to ‘sell more milk’ and no matter what time you visit a dairy shop, they will always have milk available.
What does this persistent fraud say about our society? People begin to lose their trust in businessmen and smaller acts of dishonesty give rise to greater corruptions. Not only that, but this practice wastes the hard-earned money of a common man.
Society must not hold space for such people, and whosoever is found indulging in this practice must face strict actions and punishment. It is quite easy to tell whole milk from diluted milk, therefore, if you doubt your milkman then you should confront him. Shopkeepers themselves should also practice honesty — a fundamental characteristic of a true Muslim.
