Kashish Chaudhary, a young woman from Noshki in Balochistan’s Chagai district, has made history by becoming the province’s first Hindu woman Assistant Commissioner. She achieved this milestone by passing the competitive Balochistan Public Service Commission examination. Chaudhary’s appointment is seen as a symbol of inclusion, diversity, and meritocracy in Balochistan.
Her achievement has been recognised by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who praised her as a symbol of pride for the entire nation. Chaudhary expressed her commitment to public service, particularly advocating for youth, women, and marginalised communities. She also commended the transparency and inclusiveness of the BPSC, encouraging young girls from remote areas to pursue their dreams.
Chaudhary’s appointment is significant not only for her personal achievement but also for the message it sends about the potential for talent and perseverance to emerge from even the most remote corners of the province. Her journey serves as an inspiration for others, demonstrating that with dedication and commitment, individuals can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
