Mobile network services

Mobile network services

The region of Loher Galiyat in Abbottabad is receiving extremely poor mobile network services which is markedly disrupting daily life. Despite the presence of all major mobile network operators including Ufone 4G, Zong, Jazz, and Telenor, the quality of service has been virtually non-existent over the past three months.

For months now, users in our area have not been able to make regular calls or access essential services such as mobile data, WhatsApp calls, or internet browsing. At best, only basic text messaging (SMS) works intermittently. This situation has severely disrupted communication in our area, especially when the rest of the world is advancing towards 4G and 5G technologies.

Many students and freelancers who rely on the internet for education and remote work have been forced to relocate to urban areas, incurring significant hardship and financial burden. Moreover, despite the lack of service, mobile users continue to lose money on monthly packages that they are unable to use. This is unfair and deeply frustrating for thousands of affected users.

I, on behalf of the people of Galiyat, respectfully urge the PTA to take immediate and strict action. Either suspend the licenses of these operators in the affected region until they meet the required standards, or compel Ufone, Telenor, Jazz, and Zong to restore and maintain reliable 4G/LTE services in the Galiyat region.
